Thorp of London

Thorp of London was created by Bernard Thorp, a passionate, avant-garde designer, in 1971. The first collections included artists’ drawings and antique textiles, sourced at auctions with an authentic English style. The brand soon established its workshop in the heart of Norfolk with a specialised focus in traditional hand-screen printing.

In 2022, Maison Pierre Frey acquired Thorp of London with the aim of preserving the traditional techniques and to further enhance luxury craftsmanship.

Thorp of London offer a bespoke service whereby a given pattern from their collections whether geometric (e.g. Chester, Ginza, Luna), botanical (e.g. Balmoral, Faisan, Germaine), ikat (e.g. Bupa, Palma Small Thorp), damask (e.g. Alison, Florentine, Sudbury) can be screen-printed to your own individual colours and choice of ground fabric (e.g. cotton, jute, linen, silk, mixed).
