The first Sanderson fabric range of printed cottons was produced in 1919. The Sanderson range of designer fabrics today includes printed designs on cotton, linen and silk, together with jacquard and dobby weaves, embroideries, sheers and a wide range of plains suitable for curtains, upholstery and soft furnishings. Throughout its long history, Sanderson has continued to produce wallpaper to suit the style of the times. The range today includes bold stylised florals, classic English chintzes, plain textures, smart stripes, trellises and small scale motifs which are printed in the UK.
Sanderson forms part of the Style Library that includes the Zoffany, Harlequin, Anthology and Scion brands.
Notable amongst the latest Sanderson collections are the Art of the Garden where Sanderson’s have been inspired by the Persian Gardens of 500BC to the Baroque Gardens of the 17th Century and beyond to create Art of the Garden fabrics that embody the British love affair with horticulture. The Art of the Garden is perfect for creating a timelessly elegant look that is fit for modern living. This collection teams botanical drawings, watercolours, classic geometrics and detailed paisleys with organic feel linens, cottons and heavyweight velvets. Sanderson chose a sophisticated palette for this collection including deep blues and reds mixed with metallic and mineral hues. The Art of the Garden upholstery and curtain fabrics complement and are complemented by Sanderson’s other fabric collections such as the Palm Grove embroideries and Moorbank Plain collections of interior decoration fabrics and wallpapers. Sanderson’s Moorbank plains present a tactile, textural chenille in a rich colour palette that adds depth and luxury to any curtain-drapes, cushions and upholstery. Sanderson’s Palm Grove collection showcases a range of exquisite, linen embroideries with a timeless elegance and tranquility observed in nature. Moreover, rarely found in embroideries, the Pinery design is suitable for heavy domestic upholstery as well as drapes, blinds and cushions. The remaining four designs are all suitable for drapes, blinds and cushions.
