Established in 1994, Linwood is a family business based in Hampshire. Linwood Fabrics bridge the worlds of classic design and innovation with the traditional and the inventive, hand in glove. The Linwood design team draws inspiration from textile archives, museums and art history to create beautiful, original collections of fabrics and wallpapers. Linwood is drawn to designs with a sense of heritage and those that reflect popular culture. Many of the Linwood fabrics and wallpapers are made entirely in Britain. The rest are made in Europe (Italy, Belgium and Spain mostly) by family-run mills with whom Linwood has longstanding relationships. Linwood brings to its clientele substance and style, artistry and excellence.

Notable amongst the collections are: Mirabelle which presents a collection of British Made 100% cotton prints. The collection is made up of 4 designs in fresh, contemporary colourways suitable for curtains, loose covers and upholstery.

Linwood’s Westray is a collection of British made weaves, available in 30 beautiful colours. With Shetland Wool in the weft, Westray is suitable for fixed upholstery, loose covers and curtains.

The Linwood Fable collection of exciting new designs draws its inspiration from the cultural tradition of storytelling around the globe. Fantastical worlds are brought together in a beautiful selection of prints, weaves and wallpapers. Linwood’s Arcadia celebrates the unique beauty of the English country garden, featuring seven beautiful floral designs suitable for curtains and upholstery. Linwood’s Bryher is a classic English dobby weave is available in twenty-eight elegant colour combinations and is suitable for curtains, loose covers and fixed upholstery.

Linwood’s Sporting Life collection develops on quintessential English pastimes and pursuits from a time before cricket helmets and ‘Hawkeye’; when mustachioed men boxed and their word was their bond. Sporting Life mixes luxurious printed velvets, vintage linen Kilim prints with jacquards weaves, wools, stripes and co-ordinating wallpapers. Tally Ho! Linwood’s Kilim collection presents upholstery and curtain fabrics inspired by the original Persian Kilim rugs and saddle bags. They are weighty, soft to the touch and beautifully coloured. Linwood’s luxurious, heavy Italian viscose velvet with a permanent Astrakhan pattern, Delano Velvet is dyed in twenty fabulous colours to co-ordinate with our new Metropolis collection.
