Haywoods Trimmings
Haywoods Trimmings was established in 1992 with the aim of personalising traditional French passementerie (trimmings) methods to create braids (e.g. gimp, narrow, wide), fringes (e.g. ball, bullion, cut, tassel), tiebacks (e.g. rope, tassel), that are tailor made to the client’s specific aesthetic and colour choices.
Each project requires a team of experts and involves 1. a given design can be customised in terms of scale and size, 2. the colour references together with the blends and yarn choices are made and 3. sketches of the colour distribution are made which will be the templates for the production.
