Generations of experience and distinctive British design are the foundation of the Romo brand. Since establishing its own in-house design studio in the 1980s Romo has continued to grow and is now a market leader in designer fabrics and wallcoverings.
Led by Design Director Emily Mould, the Romo studio is a continuous hub of activity and creativity, an Aladdin’s cave of sketches, paintings, fabric and colour charts, the studio walls are a constant source of inspiration. Each launch the designers research new ideas, finding inspiration in an array of influences from travel and fashion to nature and the outdoors.
Romo collections are launched twice a year through our worldwide network of designers, retailers, distributors and agents giving our exclusive collections international brand recognition in over 70 countries.

Notable amongst Romo’s collections are Linara in a compelling, updated palette of over 360 shades, Romo’s best-selling, iconic plain offers an unrivalled spectrum of colour that allows a freedom of expression and individuality. An exquisite cotton-linen blend, Romo’s Linara has a beautiful brushed finish with an exceptionally soft, peach-skin feel that adds a luxurious quality to this versatile plain. Quintessentially British, Romo’s Kelso collection conjures thoughts of a picturesque country retreat and scenic woodland walks. Reminiscent of time-honoured designs and handcrafted artistry the Kelso collection offers a modern take on tradition, comprising ten classic yet contemporary designs with a charming quality and inviting textural appeal. Natural qualities feature distinctive designs including wistful oak leaves, timeless checks, an intricate lace-inspired design and a hand drawn floral. Muted shades of soft grey, duck egg blue and pale green are incorporated in a palette of distinguished tones that further instil a sense of heritage charm.
Romo’s Elwin collection comprises four upholstery weaves with an organic feel and textural quality, encompassing an array of yarns from soft chenille to natural linen. Romo’s Elwin combines both an abstract and a small-scale geometric, a semi-plain and an enticing pixelated pattern. Romo’s Gardenia collection of fabrics was inspired by the botanical artist Alfred John Wise (1908-1985). Alfred John Wise’s passion for botanical illustrations is visible in his extensive archive of exquisite, hand drawn sketches and paintings. This collection includes beautiful prints and fine embroideries that honour the artistry and complexity behind the skill of botanical illustration.
